HIGHER HEALTH SCHOOL OF PROFESSIONAL STUDIES IN BELGRADE
Higher Medical School of Professional Studies is the first accredited higher educational institution in the field of medical sciences in Serbia. It educates staff for medical purposes prescribed by European standards and codes of ethics of the profession at the level of basic and specialist vocational studies (first and second degree of tertiary education).
Study programme is based on workload of students and on the didactically designed of educational teaching process.
The curriculum includes basic medical, clinical and general narrow vocational subjects corresponding profile. School subjects are one semester, obligatory or electoral and expressed in points ECTS.
The teaching process is designed to improve the quality of education and to harmonize them with modern national and European trends. The curricula integrate theory and practice.
Basic academic studies
According to the Bologna system of education basis professional studies are 3 year long and they provide 180 ECTS points.

- overall average grades in secondary education
- the result of the entry examination
- the completion of basic professional studies the mobility on the specialist

Specialized professional studies
In compliance with Bologna system of education specialized professional studies (the second degree of tertiary education) last 1 year or two semester, and provides 60 ECTS points, that with the studies of the first degree makes a total of 240 ECTS points.

The teaching is conducted in the form of modern interactive teaching. The evaluation of teaching process is performed during and at the end of the semester. Terms of teaching are adapted to the employed students.
